The Houlihan family have been farming in Corrigeen since the early 1930’s. In 2006, the farm converted to organic, with an increasing percentage of our land being used to grow cereals. As our farm continues to evolve and diversify,  we saw laying hens as a natural compliment to our crops. December 2020 saw the arrival of 110 day old chicks, and like the various crops grown on the farm, we chose to select 5 different breeds of hens, so as to have blue, green, white, cream & brown eggs.

Houli-Hens now sell their eggs at local farmers markets, and also cook omelettes on the day, adding the best of ingredients from other local producers to create a really delicious taste!
